My hometown

My home town is Guangzhou city in China, which is a superb and developed metropolis. It is situated in the ES part of the country, and it is the biggest cities in China. It has the most populated in my country, and it is about the same as Auckland. Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, which is very similar to my home town. New Zealand’s seasons are opposite as China.

My home town has a lot of modern and high building, that is completely different from Guangzhou. Auckland and my home town both have lots of night life, which like pub, dance hall…ect. Guangzhou’s foods are not the same as Auckland, and people have busier life than Auckland. In my country soccer is more popular than New Zealand. Auckland has a lot of great grounds for playing soccer that is completely different from my home town.

Auckland is a very clean and quiet city that it almost has no pollution. I love Auckland night views very much, because my home town is industrial city, which can not see a lot of and beautiful stars in the sky. I really enjoy it in my free time, but sometime I miss my family and my friends in China’s traditional holidays.

I would like to tell you somethings about me.My name is CODY and i came from Guangdong in china,i am studying at UNITEC.I live in MT.Albert and my house is very close to UNITEC,everyday i only spend about 10-15minutes to get to my school.I am going to tell you about my family,there are therr members in my family:my parents and me.I haven't got any brother and sisters,i am the only child in my family.My parents love to travel very much and they will tour with me as soon as i have a school holiday.
Sometimes my parents were busy with their business,So i stayed alone more the time and i learnt how to take care of myself during those times.I learnt how to make delicious foods and to clean clothes myself.I like to entertain my friends at my house when my parents are working outside at weekend.
My leisure activities are playing baskeball at the weekend and i like to listening to music at home.I also like to watch movies in the cinema,i like any kind of movie which is new at the cinema.I often surf on a internet at home after i finish all of my work.
I'm going to do the IELTS test in my future,because i want to study a new suject for next year,and i still have an insufficient IELTS marks for me to apply for this course,so i am going to put a lot of effort into my studies this term.

My Miss Right

The Miss right of my dreams is very simple to be, I have never ming the appearance a lot, tidy is the most necessary, everyone likes the tidy person not expect me, I just want my Miss right like a standard girl is all right. Her age could not older than me or i could accepted with she is the same ages with me. I hope we have a common when we are together, and i don't wish she has the same hobbies as me, but we would need communication and the common conversation. I would not demand she has the same valves or beliefs as me, but the most important thing is that she has to have a lively and a frienfly personality, she can't always angry with me when i haven't done wrong.

the guest speaker

I am telling you about the guest speaker who have visited our classroom today. His name is jurg and he is swiss, he used to teach german at UNITEC in 2000. He can speak quite a lot languages, he can speak in Swiss, German, French, English and a little bit of Italian, but now he is working in the centre for Teaching-Learning Innovation at UNITEC, befor that work he was an Air Traffices controler, he had been doing this job for eleven years.
He is a sports freak and computer freak, he likes American socker. He also told us about his hometown, we asked him about the food he likes from his conuntry, he loves the cheeses with holes and the sausages in switzerland. He said the most expensive food in his hometown is meat, more expensive than New Zealand, the main meats for his country are pork and chicken.
He also talked about his family, there are five people in hia family, his three children , his wife and him. He has two daughters and one son, the younger daughter is studying in Auckland University but he talked very little about his other children. He told us that he has no dog in his house, the reason is he has no time to have a dog. He think he is a not very serious person and i think so.

The driver licence

Recently, there are some people argue about the international students should have a driver licence befor they driving in New Zealand. I agree with that, the person who is driving in a country has to pass a driving test and it dosen't matter where you are, the following essay will give my reasons for my opinion.
The most important reason is the international students do not know about the traffic rules and the roadcode befor they having a driving test, so it is a dangerous behaviour. For example, if you drive a car turn to left side, you have to give way to the other car from your right hand side, so, most of accident are happened when the driver did not know the traif rule deeply. Secondly, the reason of many internetional students have received speed finesis due to lack the triffic knowldage.I have a driver licence in New Zealand, so i know if the person who has not got a driver licence in New Zealand, they would not getting any information about these. Even though you have the driver licence from your own country, but the traffic rules are different from every country and the dangerous are still being in the city.
In conclusion, having a driver licence can help you to get more experinces for driving saftly, from the statistics, most reasons for the car accidenct is due to the internetional students lack the drive experince. In my personal opinion, I strongly agree that the internetional students should have driver licence before they drive in New Zealand.

I will describe the movie Troy. In this movie Brad Pitt played Achilles. He had long, golden hair and strong muscles. He wore bronze armor and used a long pike in the war with Troy. Achilles was a brave, handsome and respectable hero.
Hector was acted by Eric Bana. He had brown, curly and short hair and a dense beard. He used antique weapons, shield and armor to fight in the war. Hector was a soft, kind and powerful Trojan hero. Diane Kruger played a famous woman in the movie whoes name is Helen. She had long, golden and wavy hair. She wore a white and classical dress with beautiful jewelry.

Achilles was the most powerful hero in this war. He helped Agamemnon ( Greek’s supreme commander ) to overcome the Troy city and died in the war with Troy. Hector was one of the strongest heroes in the movie. He defended his country and fought bravely with the Greeks. He was killed by Achilles in front of Troy’s city gate. Helen was a Queen of Sparta. When she met Paris ( a nice-looking Prince of Troy ), she went to Troy with the young prince. Then she caused this big war.

I read this myth about ten years ago. I think the book is much more interesting and more derailed than this movie.

My story

My story happened five years ago when i was in China. One day, i was going shopping with my friends on eight o'clock at night, suddenly, we heard a shout from the street opposite us, so we turned toward the shout, we saw a women had caught a man, I could not see the man's right hand very cearly, but i was sure that he brought a woman handbag with his right arm, then suddenly the man rushed into a small and dark avenue and the woman followed, A few minutes later, the police came and went straight into the avenue, No more than five minutes later, The policeman were coming out and the man was arrested by the police then the man was took in a police car, the woman was following the man into the car.

The name of this book is Dracula. It is talking about the story of vampire who lived in a country called Transylvania in the fifteenth century.

In the story a man named Jonathan Harker was a lawyer and lived in London. One day he was invited to Transylvania for business. His employer was Count Dracula who lived in Castle Dracula on the great Carpathian Mountain. When Harker arrived in the castle, he discovered the host was a vampire and became a prisoner. Then Dracula went to London and carried on his plan. During that time Harker escaped from the castle to London. In London he found his friends and tried to kill the vampire. But Dracula fled to his castle and fought against them. Fortunately, Harker and his friends killed Dracula at last.

This book is a horror story. Dracula was an evil, dark and bloodless vampire. From the book I feel Harker is brave and clever. He could take the best advantage of his enemy’s weak point. It shows friendly sentiments between Harker and his friends. Its team spirit is very important for everyone. When you come close to some trouble if you don not give up you will be successful. So I learned a lot of things from this book.

National News NZ soldiers on stand by for East Timor 1.00pm Tuesday May 23, 2006
A platoon of around 30 New Zealand troops on stand-by for deployment to East Timor following a recent flareup of violence there. The Defence Force said the troops, based at Christchurch's Burnham Military Camp, were on 48 hours' notice, "just in case". New Zealand Defence Force spokesman Mike Shatford said: "It's a process we apply as a precaution only and with the problems that have been occurring with the Solomons, Fiji and East Timor... it's a heightened state of readiness. "Should there be a requirement for them to go...we would give them 48 hours' notice." Ethnic clashes began in East Timor at the weekend and are continuing. Six people have been injured and eight properties burnt in the unrest in Dili. It started on Saturday night, after celebrations marking the anniversary of the former Portuguese colony's independence from Indonesia. The atmosphere in Dili is tense, with fears of new uncontrolled clashes involving the army, ethnic factions and police, after a meeting of the leading Fretilin party last week failed to address the causes of similar violence last month.

I would like to read the news something about the solders or the police, because i was dreaming to be a policeman or a solder when i was seven year old boy, but i am too short, so i can join the army.
